ree

SEEKONK, Mass. — Tom Scully III was back in Victory Lane on Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway, putting an exclamation point on the opener of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in the Sport Trucks.

Although a non-playoff contender, Scully dominated the 25-lap main event, taking down his first feature win of the season in the No. 5.

He was followed to the line after a hotly contested battle for second by another non-playoff driver, Mike Duarte. Dane Saritelli was the first of the playoff drivers to cross the finish line, scoring an impressive third-place finish and six playoff points with it.

Rick Martin, the defending champion, opened his title defense in fourth, with Ethan Heilborn rounding out the top-five. Jake Vanada, Tim Bolger, Colton Teague, Marissa Morgan and DJ Thibeault finished the top-10.

The Sport Trucks will return to the track on Saturday, September 20, for the final race to set the final four in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
