SEEKONK, Mass. — After a summer filled with ups and downs, defending Pro Stock champion Dylan Estrella seems to be ready to chase another crown. In the opener of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup for the Pro Stocks, Estrella started on the outside pole, jumped out front quickly, and drove away from the rest of his competition to take down the win in the playoff opener.
Estrella takes a smooth six playoff points with him, with only one race remaining before the Final Four is set.
Dave Darling crossed the line second, with Jacob Burns in third. Vinnie Arrenegado had originally crossed fourth, but did not make it through inspection. That moved Bobby Pelland III into fourth and Andrew Gomes into the fifth spot in the official results.
Mark Jenison, Billy Brady, Darryl Stampfl, Billy Joerres and Jaden Hamilton finished the top-10.
The Pro Stocks will return to the track on Saturday, September 20, for the final race to set the final four in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
