PETTEY FIGHTS THROUGH TO OPEN TITLE DEFENSE IN SPORTSMAN VICTORY LANE

ree

SEEKONK, Mass. — Adam Pettey found himself back on top Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway. In his quest to defend his Sportsman title in 2025, Pettey opened the NASCAR Saturday Sunoco Drive For The Cup with a victory in the 25-lap main event.

In a race that was filled with early trouble, Pettey got to the lead quickly - then had to hold off multiple hard chargers coming behind him to take the feature win. Rob Kohler and Jeremy Lambert both tried to find their way around, but ran out of time.

Kohler originally crossed the line second, but didn’t make it through post-race inspection. That moved Jeremy Lambert into second, with Colby Lambert following in third. Josh Hedges and Albert Clements finished the top-five in the official results.

Cody Tripp, Steve Axon, Nick Brightman, Crystal Serydynski and Nick Wood finished the top-10.

The Sportsman will return to the track on Saturday, September 20, for the final race to set the final four in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
