SEEKONK, Mass. — The 2026 Fast Friday season at Seekonk Speedway is here. With a new division added, making it a six-division weekly slate, race fans aren’t going to want to miss the chance to witness the future stars of Seekonk Speedway’s NASCAR Saturday battle it out under the lights. Opening night is set for Friday, May 29, where the first checkered flags of the season will drop.
The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars are set to headline racing, roaring back with a field mixed with former champions and rising stars. After years of trying, Josh Parsons finally captured glory in 2025, winning the championship in the No. 09. Parsons returns for the new season looking to pounce on becoming back-to-back champion, but continue to add to his trophy case along the way. Parsons is joined by former champion Richie Helger Jr., who is also competing full-time in the Sport Trucks on NASCAR Saturday, and Jacob “Rowdy” Burns as the three former champions in the field. Burns dominated much of the 2025 season when it came to feature wins, and is expected to carry that checkered flag more in the new year.
Talent on the rise is the name of the game in the Legends Cars when you hear names like Brody Wakefield, Chase Silvia, Isaiah Newcomb, Brian Wilkinson Jr and Justin Leduc. Wakefield is a former Bandolero standout, just like Silvia and Newcomb. Wakefield enters the new year with a goal of capturing his first career win, while Silvia hits the new campaign looking to add to his wins list, but also chase the championship he feels should be his. Newcomb is back in the No. 22, looking to pounce on winning more races. Wilkinson was impressive in his debut year in 2025, while Leduc, a former Sport 4 champion, is looking to take the next step in the new year. All of these drivers should be ones to watch when you consider who should be in Victory Lane at some point during the season.

Other drivers to watch include veteran contender and former Bandolero champion Mason Tessier, who is also a former Legends Cars Triple Crown champion. Keep your eyes on Stephen Bowden, Dylan Calabro, Ayla Martin and defending Bandolero Outlaw champion Vincent Sarro, who is making the move up. Will Late Model standouts Ryan Vanasse Jr or Brenden LaBelle make any starts? Time will tell. And there will be plenty of others not mentioned racing weekly, some who will surprise you. The Legends Cars will wrap every week of Fast Friday racing, with 25 laps for much of the year, and 30 circuits in special events. They will also have a points contest on Wednesday, July 1, alongside the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

The Pure Stock division returns with a stout lineup and some new faces at the top. Leading the charge is defending division dominator Brent Robidoux, who has been the car to watch in his first two seasons of racing. Robidoux won four races and the championship in his rookie year in 2024, and followed it up with six more victories and a second-place points finish in 2025. Robidoux enters the new year swapping cars with his brother, Bryson, but it isn’t expected to slow him down.
Speaking of Bryson, entering his second full season in the Pure Stocks, he looks to add to his win total, taking over the car his brother Brent dominated with the last two years. Bryson captured his first career win last year, and continued gaining experience every lap on the track. Will the swapped ride bring success for this Robidoux brother?
A strong field of contenders follows them, led by defending Rookie of the Year Crystal Murray, reigning Sport 4 champion Richie Johnson, who is moving up after purchasing the defending championship car driven by Matt Talbot, and names like Ethan Souza, Bobby Bettencourt III, Peter Bleau and Zachary Keith.
Murray, a former two-time Sport 4 champion, continues to pick up speed and searches her first career win in the new year. Johnson has been impressive in pre-season practice rounds, after dominating much of the last two years of Sport 4 racing and looking to make the next step in his racing career. Souza was the other dominant force in the Pure Stocks last year, alongside Brent. The driver of the No. 30 is certainly a veteran contender compared to his challengers, and you can look for Souza to try and finally add that elusive championship title to his resume this season.
Bettencourt and Keith are two rising stars of the Pure Stock class, both looking for their first career wins. Bleau, who is becoming one of the weekly top contenders, wants to be a threat for the title. Fans should also keep their eyes on names like Tim Ouellette, who returns to racing in the No. 67 after taking a year off, rookie contender Lauren Pacheco, Justin Rioux, Steve Aubin, Dylan Holdsworth, Jared Cordeira, Don Courtemanche, and others.

With champion Richie Johnson moving up, the early look at the 2026 Sport 4 field for Fast Friday has only one former champion registered to compete. That would be David Westgate, who after some time off from full-time racing, has purchased a car and is ready to challenge. He will be joined by his teammate Arthur Meack, who captured multiple victories last year, and entered the championship four, as two of the early favorites in this division.
If last year was any indication, Jacob Budzyna and Samantha Sleboda will not be far behind when the green flag drops. Both drivers visited Victory Lane last year, and both are steering forward towards contending for a championship in 2026. They are joined by Daniel Hayes, who captured multiple wins last year, and was there right down to the wire when it came to crowning the champion. It’s likely Hayes is a multiple-time winner in the new year, and right in the thick of the battle when it comes down to the Sunoco Drive For The Cup.
These five contenders are joined by Christine Cavallaro and recent Rookie of the Year Nate Harris. Names like James Sullivan, Christopher Rose Jr., Josh Switzer, Joe Mello and others are also scheduled to compete. Fans can also look to see how many events Tyler Duhancik runs in the No. 48. Any time Tyler shows up, he will be a threat to win. The Sport 4 field continues to showcase strong talent on the rise. Many Sport 4 front runners have gone on and competed in the Pure Stocks and beyond.

New for 2026, the One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers will compete weekly on Fast Friday. This division ran their first Seekonk laps during Thrill Show events last year, with increasing car counts. This division does not have a driver history requirement attached, and the championship is wide open, up for grabs. Early registrations for the season show six-time track champion Mike Cavallaro intends to compete, looking to add another title to go along with his NASCAR Saturday full-time effort in the Sport Trucks.
John Lallier, John Dulac and Nick Lecuyer are some others to watch. Tyrese Mello is registered to race, running countless events across many New England tracks so far this season. Keep your eyes on Ben LaRose, Dylan “Dozer” Cabral, Glenn Jenison, James Dolan, Brenden Nichols and others. The Crown Vic Cruisers are expected to continue to grow in car count and talent as the year progresses.
The youngest group of Seekonk Speedway contenders return to the track for Fast Friday, with both the Bandolero Bandits and Bandolero Outlaws set for action, both sponsored by Seekonk Grand Prix. The Bandits are the younger of the contenders, while the Outlaws are a bit older, and a bit faster.

The Bandit field will be chasing the Solomito family. Landon captured countless wins and the championship in his first season of Seekonk racing last year, and entering 2026, will show no signs of slowing down. His brother, Brody, is going to be right there on his heels. Brody has some experience at other tracks, and looked strong in the few early Test & Tune sessions. The division championship will run through both of them, and many others. Returning for the new season, Brooke Meyer, Jace Chaber and Elias Dib will be others to watch. All three were top contenders last year and are coming back looking to carry the checkered flag.
As always, the Bandit field includes some new contenders. Tobey Lecuyer, Lance Portland III, Chace Guillemette and Nathan Martin are registered to take their first laps in 2026. Fans can also keep their eyes on James Goode, Mya Adams, Joseph Bryant, Mackenzie Farpelha and others in the Bandits for the new year.
The Outlaw division returns with some of the best racing you will see at Seekonk Speedway on a weekly basis. Dicing it out side-by-side and wheel-to-wheel, the Outlaws showcase impressive youth contenders ready to put on a show. They are all chasing glory in Victory Lane.

Defending Outlaw champion Vincent Sarro is moving on, and that guarantees a first-time champion in the Outlaws for 2026. The names to watch? There are so many! An impressive 2025 season has Allyha DeSomma high on the list of favorites, joined by Luka Dib, Ryder Aguiar, CJ Satterlund, Nathan Zimmerman and Landon Heim. Some of these contenders are moving up from the Bandits, while some are Outlaw contenders returning for more. When it comes to finding drivers near the front of the field consistently, expect these names to be there.
But they won’t be alone.
Look out for Brady Connors and Zacarias Kelley to come back strong, both coming off their first career wins in 2025. They are joined by Bro Jordan, Cameron Manion, Mackenzie Cloutier, Kennedy Burrows and newcomers Aiden Anger and Lucas Guide.
Fast Friday continues to showcase the youth talent and rising stars of Seekonk Speedway. Some drivers who have started in Seekonk’s youth racing have moved all the way through the ranks into the NASCAR Saturday divisions and won championships. Who will be next on the list?
The 2026 Seekonk Speedway Fast Friday season will begin on Friday, May 29, at 7PM.
