HELGER TAKES CHECKERED FLAG IN SECOND CAREER SPORT TRUCK START

SEEKONK, Mass. — Richie Helger Jr. wasted little time getting to Victory Lane on NASCAR Saturday. Helger took the top spot early in Saturday’s NASCAR Local Racing Series Sport Truck main event, in front of a packed house on hand for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour J&R Precast 150, and in just his second career start, the driver of the No. 99 rocketed to victory lane.

The Move of the Race: Helger moved up from Fast Friday as a former Legends Cars champion this year, set to compete in the Sport Trucks as a rookie. He had a solid opening day, but came out swinging in week two, dominating to score his first career victory in the South Coast Power Equipment No. 99.

The Story: Behind Helger, the race for second went right down to wire. Veteran contender Scott Cestodio worked over Mike Cavallaro, trying everything to get the second spot away before the finish. In the end, Cavallaro hung on for the runner-up spot, with Cestodio scoring his second straight podium finish in his first two attempts behind the wheel of the No. 14.

The Top Contenders: Jake Vanada and Tommy Adams followed them across the line in fourth and fifth. They were followed by DJ Thibeault, Tim Bolger Jr., Mike Duarte, Ethan Heilborn and Danny Thibeault.

Look Out For Next Time Out: The Sport Trucks return to the track for round one of the Everett’s Triple Crown Series on Saturday, May 30, set for 35 laps.

Some people might think that the repeated gameplay loop is a bad thing. The game is simple, but that's what makes it easy to learn and fun to play for short periods of time. There are a lot of sharp turns in drift boss that can be frustrating for some players, especially new players.
