POLE HOLDS OFF DARLING FOR GRANITE STATE PRO STOCK SERIES WIN

SEEKONK, Mass. — It was clear right from the top of the green in Wednesday’s Granite State Pro Stock Series race at Seekonk Speedway that Joey Pole was going to be the one to beat. Pole started at the front, and quickly jumped out to an impressive lead. As the field clicked off laps in the middle of the race, Pole drove away from the competition, while nine-time track champion David Darling tried to get around Jacob Burns for second.

Darling would accomplish that task - but was far behind Pole and was going to struggle to catch him without a caution flag. Luckily for him, the yellow dropped. Darling worked the outside of Pole on a restart and showed his true track advantage - taking down the lead for a few laps. But in the end, it was Pole who took back the top spot and never gave it up again.

Pole picked up the victory with Darling crossing the line second. Burns was third after 100 laps, with Bobby Pelland III and Mike Mitchell finishing out the top-five.
