For the first time in the now 80-year history of Seekonk Speedway, the Action Track of the East has a nine-time drivers champion. David Darling added to his legacy even further in 2025, advancing into the Pro Stock Final Four in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, and coming out on top on the final night of the season to rocket back to the head table.
Darling’s ninth championship is his first since 2021. Darling also won Pro Stock titles in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2013, 2012, 2007 and 2006. He’s done them all driving the No. 52 in Seekonk’s top division.
“We had to drive it every lap,” Darling said of the season-finale. “I have to thank everyone that works on this car. Ronnie Pond (new Seekonk Wall of Fame member) was a big part of every single one of these wins, and championships. Have to thank Jeff Belyea and everyone who works on the car with us… I’ve been fortunate enough to have some really great people in my corner over the years."
Seekonk Speedway congratulates David Darling and his entire team on capturing the 2025 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series championship in the Pro Stock division.
