Adam Pettey may not have had the car to beat for the entire season, but with multiple wins and consistency, Pettey made his way into the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in 2025 looking to win two straight Sportsman titles. In the final race of the year, Pettey took his No. 57 to the front of the field quickly, and held off all challengers to become a two-time Sportsman champion.
Pettey’s championship came in the 80th season of racing at the Action Track of the East. As the driver of the Pettey Auto Salvage machine looks forward into his career, with a move up to the Late Models incoming, he doesn’t know exactly what his plans are with the Sportsman for 2026. But, ending the season with a second straight title sure solidifies his legacy in one of the most competitive divisions in all of New England.
You can call him two-time.
“Feels awesome, we nailed it on the setup,” Pettey said. “The car was a rocket ship.”
Seekonk Speedway congratulates Adam Pettey and his entire team on capturing the 2025 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series championship in the Sportsman division.
