ree

SEEKONK, Mass. — Jacob “Rowdy” Burns has been the dominant car all year in the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars at Seekonk Speedway.

Friday night, Burns jumped out front, passing Mason Tessier for the lead, and never looked back en route to Victory Lane. The win gave Burns a smooth nine playoff points, four ahead of any other driver, after one of four weeks in the Sunoco Drive For The Cup.

Josh Parsons continued his consistency, finishing second, while Jake Silvia had a strong run in third. Mason Tessier and Chase Silvia followed to finish fourth and fifth. They were followed by Richie Helger Jr., Brian Wilkinson, Ryan Vanasse Jr., Brody Wakefield and Brenden LaBelle.

After one week of playoff racing, Burns leads the playoff standings with nine points - including his three bonus points from the regular season. Parsons is second with five, while Silvia has four, Helger three, Vanasse two and LaBelle one.

The Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars will be back on track on Friday, September 12, for the second round of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
