SEEKONK, Mass. — Brent Robidoux kicked off his bid for a second straight Pure Stock championship in Victory Lane on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway.
In the Pure Stock opener of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, Robidoux passed Bobby Bettencourt III on the outside lane on the final restart, then drove away to add a fifth win to his 2025 season tally.
Ethan Souza snuck through on the final few laps to finish in second, while Bettencourt, who was looking for his first career win, led many laps and finished third. Matt Talbot and Rookie of the Year contender Crystal Murray followed to finish off the top-five.
Mike Henriques, Jared Cordeira, Peter Bleau, Zachary Keith and Danny Massa completed the top-10.
After one week of playoff racing, Robidoux, including his three bonus points from the regular season, leads the playoff standings with nine points. Souza is second with five, while Talbot has four and Henriques three. Just outside the cutline, Cordeira has two and Keith one.
The Pure Stocks will be back on track on Friday, September 12, for the second round of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
