PREVIEW: BANDOLERO BANDITS READY TO SHOWCASE SEEKONK’S YOUNGEST GROUP OF RACERS

SEEKONK, Mass. – The youngest group of Seekonk Speedway competitors will soon be on track for Fast Friday at the Action Track of the East.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits showcase competitors who age from 7-11 years old, the true youth and rising stars of short-track racing in New England.

Entering a new year, many new challengers will join the division - one that is guaranteed a first-time champion, and many first-time winners along the way.

Some names to watch returning from 2024 include Carl Satterlund Jr., Jace Chaber and Kennedy Burrows. Although Satterlund and Chaber ran the majority of the races, Burrows only ran select events. Any laps around the third-mile are helpful going into the new season, and these three contenders should be ones to watch near the front of the pack right from week one.

New to the division are: Landon Heim, Elias Dib, Ryan Iannarelli, Joseph Satterlund, Mya Adams, Landon Solomito and Mackenzie Farpelha.

Based on pre-season practice rounds, Solomito will be a threat at the front of the pack right away. He’s posted some of the fastest lap times and been consistently strong around the track. He comes from a family who has roots in racing, including still in the Modified ranks.

Heim, Iannarelli, Joseph Satterlund, Adams and Ferphela will all be contenders. Some of them may have little to no experience racing, but that’s exactly what the Bandolero Bandit division is made for. They will learn the ropes over the course of the season and contend for wins, podiums and top-five finishes. One will come out on top as champion.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit season begins at Seekonk Speedway on Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m. For more information on Seekonk Speedway and to purchase tickets for all events, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com.
