JACOB BUDZNYA BREAKS THROUGH FOR FIRST CAREER SPORT 4 WIN

ree

SEEKONK, Mass. — Jacob Budznya has been the second most consistent car of the season in the Sport 4 division. Friday night, in a thriller of a race that came right down to the final few laps, Budznya was carrying the checkered flag for the first time in his career.

Budznya held off the charges of Samantha Sleboda and Corey Caddick to take the victory in the 25-lap main event. Budznya had a car to his outside in the lead battle for much of the race. First it was Sleboda, who then slid in behind. Then, Caddick charged up the outside and gave his best run.

In the end, Budznya was on top. Sleboda finished second, with Caddick in third. Richie Johnson, the most recent winner, and Daniel Hayes rounded out the top-five. Arthur Meack, Christine Cavallaro, Matt Menders, Josh Switzer and Joe Mello Sr. finished the top-10.

The Sport 4s will return to the track on Friday, August 22 for the final race of the regular season. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, and tickets to upcoming events, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and also follow the track on social media.
