BOLGER OPENS SPORT TRUCK SEASON IN VICTORY LANE

After a bit of a tough finish to the 2025 season, Tim Bolger Jr. came out of the gates swinging in the 2026 Sport Truck season at Seekonk Speedway. Driving the No. 1, the former Fast Friday Sport 4 regular and winning rocketed to victory lane, becoming the first official winner of the 2026 Seekonk Speedway NASCAR Local Racing Series season.

The Move of the Race: Right at halfway, Bolger worked his way up to the second spot. He made his move on a restart on the outside of leader Scott Custodio, taking the top spot using the second groove, and never looked back, en route to Victory Lane

The Story: In his first race back on NASCAR Saturday in a long time, former Fast Friday champion Scott Cestodio piloted the old Rick Martin No. 14 power plant to the front quickly. Cestodio led laps one through 10. He lost the lead to Bolger, but finished a strong second in his first venture with a new team.

The Top Contenders: Tommy Adams, a normal Pro Stock regular and former Late Model champion, wheeled the No. 45 Truck to a heat race victory and third place finish in the feature. Former champion Mike Duarte was fourth with a solid opener, while defending champion Jake Vanada worked his way through the field to start his title defense with a fifth-place effort.

The Top-10: Tim Bolger Jr., Scott Cestodio, Tommy Adams, Mike Duarte, Jake Vanada, Danny Thibeault, Colton Teague, DJ Thibeault, Ethan Heilborn, Richie Helger Jr

Look Out For Next Week: The Sport Trucks are the first division to run an Everett’s Triple Crown race next Saturday, May 9, set for 35 laps
