SEEKONK, Mass. — American Racer has been a long time supporter of Seekonk Speedway. As the tire supplier for multiple track divisions, they have been partners with the third-mile for many years.
This year, again, they have stepped up to the plate, not only to supply tires, but also for a special event this week.
The Pro Stocks will return to the track Saturday night, June 14, for the American Racer 75-lap race.
After a week off due to a victory by Mother Nature, and two from scheduled time off, they are itching to get back behind the wheel.
The division returns to action for the American Racer Pro Stock 75, worth $2,000 to win, $1,500 for second and $1,100 for third. The boosted purse is courtesy of American Racer and their continued support of Seekonk Speedway.
Jacob “Rowdy” Burns rocketed to Victory Lane the last two times on the track, showing he may be a rookie, but will have a major effort towards the title.
Vinnie Arrenegado is the only other winner going into this Saturday’s 75-lap main event. Early in the season, though, it’s defending champion Dylan Estrella who shows the way in the championship battle by four points over Burns, 12 over Bobby Pelland III and 19 over Mark Jenison. Will one of these drivers be on top this week or will Mike Brightman, Colbey Fournier or rookie contender Andrew Gomes have something to say? Can former Legends Cars champion Nick Lascuola end up back on top?
NASCAR Saturday kicks-off at 6 p.m. on Saturday night and also includes round two of the Everett’s Triple Crown for the Helger’s Sportsman and Sport Trucks, along with 30-laps for the Late Models.
Seekonk Speedway thanks American Racer for their continued support of the track in our 80th season.
