SEEKONK, Mass. — Landon Solomito picked the perfect time to get back to Victory Lane on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway.
Driving the No. 66, Solomito jumped out front and dominated the 15-lap final race of the regular season for the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits. Solomito’s victory puts him in a prime position to chase the championship as the Sunoco Drive For The Cup begins next month.
Recent winner Landon Heim finished second on Friday night, with Jace Chaber crossing the line third. Carl Satterlund Jr. and Brooke Meyer completed the top-five. Elias Dib was sixth, followed by Mackenzie Farpelha.
Satterlund earned three bonus points heading into the playoffs as the regular season championship leader. He will be joined by Solomito, Heim, Chaber, Meyer and Dib to decide the championship during the final four weeks of the season in September.
The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits return to the track for race one of the Sunoco Drive For the Cup on Friday, September 5. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates.
