SEEKONK, Mass. — Landon Solomito appears to be peaking at the right time in the race for the championship at Seekonk Speedway. Behind the wheel of the No. 66 Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandit, Solomito picked up his sixth victory of the season on Friday night, solidifying his spot in the Championship Four.
Solomito used the outside lane to pass Landon Heim in the middle stages of the race and never looked back.
It was Heim who finished second, a perfect run for him in his quest to battle for the championship, after leading many laps in the 15-lap contest. Jace Chaber, the winner the week before, crossed the finish line in third. They were followed by Elias Dib and Brooke Meyer in fourth and fifth.
The Final Four Championship contenders in the Bandolero Bandits are Landon Solomito, Landon Heim, Jace Chaber and Carl Satterlund Jr.
The final race of the season for the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits will take place on Friday, September 26. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates.
