SEEKONK, Mass. — Josh Parsons had been racing in the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars for many years, but had never won a championship prior to Friday night at Seekonk Speedway.
In the finale of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, a 30-lap contest, Parsons passed Jacob Burns for the lead inside the final 10 laps, then drove away into the sunset to capture the victory in the season-finale, and the 2025 division championship along with it.
Burns, who won six times in the Legends Cars this year, finished in second. They were followed across the finish line by non-playoff driver Isaiah Newcomb in third, and playoff contender Ryan Vanasse Jr in fourth. Brenden LaBelle finished off the top-five in the season-finale.
Seekonk Speedway will release the 2026 Fast Friday schedule in the offseason. For more information on the final racing events of the year at Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates.
