SEEKONK, Mass. — David Darling has once again become the clear, dominant force in the Pro Stock division at Seekonk Speedway to open the 2026 season. Darling won Saturday’s 60-lap opener of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for the Pro Stocks, his second victory in two races so far this year.
The Story: Mike Brightman jumped out to the front early in the race. He had to contend with Nick Lascuola, who took the advantage from him shortly after. Then, Darling, who started 10th, worked his way to the front and passed Lascuola for the lead just before halfway. From there, Darling drove away from the competition to get back to Victory Lane. Two for two to open the season, Darling is starting to smell a 10th championship.
The Top Finishers: Brightman rebounded after a tough opening day and finished a strong second. Kenny Spencer was back on the podium for the second straight race, bringing the No. 03 home in third. Mike Mitchell returned to competition in fourth, with Nick Lascuola rounding out the top-five.
Number 100 is Approaching: Darling now has 99 career track victories. If he keeps up this pace, Darling may be on his way to a 100th career win before the summer really takes off.
The Pro Stocks will be back on the track for the American Racer 75 on Saturday, June 13. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, and tickets to all upcoming events, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com.
