SEEKONK SPEEDWAY TO BLAST OFF WITH 80TH SEASON OPENER MAY 3-4

SEEKONK, Mass. – Seekonk Speedway’s 80th anniversary season of short-track racing in Massachusetts is here. The Action Track of the East will open the campaign on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, with two different days of excitement for fans.
On Saturday, May 3, the 14th annual Car Show & Go will take place in the front parking lot, with NASCAR divisions making their final test laps before opening day. Saturday includes the Classic Car Show, Burn Out Drags, music, car contests and more. Fans will also be able to enter the grandstands to watch NASCAR divisions practice free of charge.
On Sunday, the 80th season officially kicks-off with NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series action for the Pro Stocks, Late Models, Helger’s Sportsman and Sport Trucks. The action goes green at 2 p.m. Tickets for race day are available online now at SeekonkSpeedway.com, where you can save money, and skip the line on race day by purchasing in advance.
The Pro Stock season includes a mix of veterans returning looking to add more feature wins to their resume. Defending champion Dylan Estrella leads the list of names including Bobby Pelland III, Vinnie Arrenegado, Colbey Fournier, Mark Jenison, Kenny Spencer, Dick Benoit, rookie Jacob Burns and more. They will open the season with a 40-lap showdown.

The Late Model field includes a mix of returning challengers, newcomers and rising stars. Defending champion Luke LeBrun will look to get his season off on the right foot against the likes of Charlie Rose, Richie Murray, Chase Belcher and more. Look out for Tyler Almeida, who will be moving up from the Sportsman, looking to make his presence felt. The Late Models season opener is set for 30 laps.
In the Helger’s Sportsman, Adam Pettey and Colby Lambert will continue their spirited battle from the end of last year with the season opener. They are joined in one of New England’s most exciting divisions by names like Scott Serydynski Jr., Josh Hedges, Jimmy “Pepe” Silvia and more. The Sportsman open the season with a 25-lap feature.

The Sport Truck field will all chase Rick Martin into opening day. Beginning a quest for his fourth straight championship, Martin will battle against the likes of Mike Cavallaro, Jake Vanada, Mike Duarte and many more in their first 25-lap battle of the season for this NASCAR Division 4 class.
Race fans are encouraged to review Seekonk Speedway’s updated bag and cooler policy before attending all events during the 2025 season. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, Seekonk Speedway is implementing updated entry guidelines for the 2025 season in coordination with public safety outlines developed with the Town of Seekonk and Public Safety Officials. Saturday’s Car Show & Go on Saturday, May 3, is $10 per car entering the show. Parking is free for all guests attending. Gates open at 8 a.m. for cars to roll in, and judging will begin at 10 a.m. There are multiple awards up for grabs including top three best of show, best open car, best truck and more. The event includes the Car Show, Burn Out Drags on the track at 1 p.m. and a special appearance by DJ Crusin Bruce. NASCAR practice will see the pits open at 10:30 a.m. and practice roll from 12-4 p.m. There is no admission fee to watch practice in the grandstands. Dont miss the Automotive Swap meet on Saturday !

On Sunday, May 4, pits open at 10 a.m. while practice begins at 11 a.m. The grandstand gates open at 12 p.m. and Pro Stock time trials will take place at 1 p.m. Pro Stock time trials will set the starting lineup for the heat races. The green flag will drop for qualifying heat races at 2 p.m., followed by feature event racing.
