LUKA DIB GETS THE BANDOLERO OUTLAW CHECKERED IN TRIPLE CROWN ROUND ONE

SEEKONK, Mass. — Luka Dib challenged up at the front of the field for much of Friday’s opener of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws, and he was there when it mattered most. Dib took the checkered flag to win the 15-lap feature after holding off some hard chargers behind him coming down to the finish.

The Story: In a wild first few laps that saw the youth racers three and four-wide at times, Luka Dib chased to the front and raced Brady Connors for the top spot around halfway. Unfortunately, while two other cars had just wrecked in turn three, Connors and Dib got together as the caution flew for the other incident, and Connors was sidelined for the remainder of the event. Dib had to hold off Ryder Aguiar and Allyha DeSomma over the final laps, and was able to do it to get to Victory Lane.

The Top Finishers: Aguiar finished in second with DeSomma third. Landon Heim was fourth, followed by Nathan Zimmerman. Unfortunately, Zimmerman did not make it through post-race inspection, moving Mackenzie Cloutier into the top-five.

The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Outlaws will be back on the track on Friday, June 12, for race three of the season.
