GLUCHACKI WINS ACT SPRING GREEN, HIRSCHMAN SCORES SIXTH MID WEEK MADNESS $10,000 VICTORY

SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway returned to action on Wednesday night with the annual Mid Week Madness event, featuring the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and the American-Canadian Tour. Two of the top touring series divisions in the Northeast provided race fans side-by-side racing on a hot, steamy Wednesday night at the Action Track of the East.

The American-Canadian Tour started off the night with the running of the Spring Green race, set for 125 laps. DJ Shaw jumped out front early, in control at the top of some of the best Late Model drivers in the country. Shaw would lead the charge until lap 109, when Dartmouth, Massachusetts native and former Seekonk Speedway regular Derek Gluchacki took command.

Gluchacki used a pass on the bottom groove in the midst of lapped traffic to take the lead and never looked back, leading the remaining distance and parking in Victory Lane. Gluchacki is the first Massachusetts driver to win the Spring Green event, which has been run at many tracks, but Seekonk the last few years.

Gluchacki beat Shaw, former Seekonk winner in ACT competition Kasey Beattie, Raphael Lessard and Jesse Switser in the top-five. Erick Sands was sixth, followed by Remi Perreault, Joey Polewarczyk, Tom Carey III and Dave Darling. In 10th, Darling was the first of the Seekonk regular competitors to finish. He was followed by Bobby Pelland III right behind him in 11th.

New for 2025, the $10,000 to win Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series Wednesday night race went to 125 laps instead of 100. The battle at the front of the field included some stout Modified talent, but in the end, for the sixth time in this special event, Matt Hirschman was in Victory Lane. Hirschman captured his second Modified win of the season at Seekonk, with the first coming in the J&R Precast 150 with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour earlier this month.

Many thought that with the increase to 125 laps, all drivers would elect to pit for a fresh tire. However, Hirschman, and second-place finisher Jon McKennedy, did not pit during the race. George Bessette Jr. finished third, while Joey Cipriano and Chris Pasteryak rounded out the top-five after 125 circuits. Jacob Perry, Ronnie Williams, Chase Dowling, David Arute and Tyler Chapman finished the top-10.

Both the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and American-Canadian Tour will return to Seekonk Speedway for the Haunted Hundred event on Saturday, October 25, joined by a special Open Street Stock event.

Seekonk Speedway returns to Fast Friday and NASCAR Saturday competition on June 27 and 28. For more information on this weekend's racing, visit the Race Day Info page at SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
