BURNS CHARGES THROUGH LATE FOR PRO STOCK WIN, TRIPLE CROWN TITLE

ree

SEEKONK, Mass. — Jacob Burns took all the marbles on Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway.

Burns passed David Darling for the lead inside the final few laps, took the win in the 60-lap Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series contest, and also captured the Everett’s Triple Crown title in the Pro Stocks for this season. It was his third victory of the season in his Rookie of Year effort.

Darling tried everything to hold him off, but had to settle for second, shortly after passing Mike Brightman for the lead on a restart. Speaking of Brightman, he would score his best finish of the season, in third. Dylan Estrella and Vinnie Arrenegado rounded out the top-five.

Bobby Pelland III, Nick Lascuola, Kenny Spencer, Colbey Fournier and Mark Jenison finished the top-10.

The Pro Stocks will be back on track on Saturday, August 16, for another main event. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
