The stars and cars of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will visit Seekonk Speedway twice for the 2026 season. Announced today, the Whelen Modified Tour will compete at the third-mile on Saturday, May16 for the J&R Precast 150 and Wednesday, July 1 for the Firecracker 150 during Mid Week Madness.

It will mark the first time in the history of the Whelen Modified Tour that the series visits Seekonk twice in the same season. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour full 2026 schedule includes events spanning from February into October.

“We are so happy to have the Whelen Modified Tour coming in for two events that our fans will be thrilled to see during the 2026 season,” David Alburn, Competition Director for Seekonk Speedway, said. “The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is the oldest running touring series in NASCAR and has been keeping fans on the edge of their seats for 40 years. We’re excited to see them back in May for the J&R Precast 150 and also thrilled to see them headlining our annual mid-week event in July for the Firecracker 150”

The July 1 event will be the 21st annual Midweek Madness at Seekonk Speedway. Matt Hirschman, who has won the last three NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events at Seekonk, is a six-time winner of that event.
