SEEKONK, Mass. — Seekonk Speedway drivers on NASCAR Saturday are chasing a new incentive for the remainder of the 2026 season, with bonus cash on the line on the final lap.
Drivers who are able to use the outside groove to make a pass for the win on the final lap will be awarded a bonus along with the weekly purse. The Sportsman and Sport Trucks will earn $500 if they can accomplish the task and the Pro Stocks and Late Models $1,000.
In order to be eligible for the bonus, the driver who wins the race must be running second or worse in scoring when the field takes the white flag. From there, they must use the outside groove to get around the leader and come back to the start finish line as the winner. This bonus is only in place for feature events.
“We want to add some extra bonus cash to the field and we have always been big on a driver who can use the outside lane to their success,” David Alburn, Competition Director at Seekonk Speedway, said. “We are hoping that many drivers will keep fans on the edge of their seats and come out on top of feature events using the top groove en route to victory.”
Seekonk Speedway will return to NASCAR Saturday racing for the finale of the Everett’s Triple Crown Series on Saturday, August 8. Tickets for all events remaining in the 2026 season are available online at SeekonkSpeedway.com.
