SEEKONK, Mass. — Former Sport 4 champion Dave Westgate may not be running full-time this season, but he added a second win to the season on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway in the Sport 4 division. In the first round of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, Westgate started eighth and passed all playoff contenders to score the feature win. In the playoff battle, Justin Leduc was the leading finisher on Friday - scoring a second-place result in the No. 02. Richie Johnson followed in third, with Tyler Duhancik, Crystal Murray and Taylor Bowser following in positions four through six, all playoff drivers. Next was Jacob Budzyna in seventh, with Sam Mattera in eighth. Matt Pion, who led the regular season championship standings and entered the playoffs with bonus points, finished ninth in race one, while Mikey LeFort III was 10th. At the end of race one, Leduc, Johnson, Pion and Duhancik hold the Final Four spots. The Sport 4s will return to the track for round two of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup on Friday, September 13, another 25-lap feature.
