SEEKONK, Mass. — Ethan Souza had a fast car and was in the right place at the right time on Friday night at Seekonk Speedway.
In the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, Souza picked up the victory in round one of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series. Souza was running second in the final laps, after leading a portion of the race. Brent Robidoux was looking for another win in the Pure Stocks, and was in control of the race with just a few laps remaining, when contact with a lapped car impacted the race and he went spinning. That handed Souza the lead (in the right position at the right time) and he took full advantage. Jared Cordeira charged from deep in the field to the front to finish second, while Mike Henriques came from the rear himself, finishing in third. Bobby Bettencourt III and Danny Massa rounded out the top-five. Greg Perry, Matt Talbot, Josh O’Hara, Brent Robidoux and Gary Conrad rounded out the top-10. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks will be back on the track on Friday, July 12, for another 25-lap feature.
