SEEKONK, Mass. — Justin Leduc was in contention for the win for much of Friday’s Sport 4 feature at Seekonk Speedway, but it wasn’t until the end it was clear that he was going to win. Leduc captured his first win of the season in the first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, driving the No. 02 to Victory Lane with a late run to the checkered. Leduc swapped the lead back and forth with defending Rookie of the Year Richie Johnson for a good portion of the race. The two battled hard for the lead in the final laps, with a few others joining them in the competition. In the end, Leduc topped Johnson across the line to take the feature victory in the 30-lap special. Matt Pion finished third, with Sam Mesick making a surprise Seekonk appearance to finish in fourth. Taylor Bowser rounded out the top-five. Tyler Duhancik, Christine Cavallaro, Andrew Rittman, Kaine Duby and James Sullivan finished the top-10. The Sport 4’s will be back on the track on Friday, July 12, for another 25-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media.
