SEEKONK, Mass. — To capture his first career Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Truck to win, DJ Thibeault had to hold off one of the best in the history of Seekonk Speedway. Thibeault jumped to the top spot late in the 25-lap Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Truck feature on NASCAR Saturday night, then had to hold off Rick Martin to capture his first career win. Thibeault, who moved up from Fast Friday’s Sport 4 division in recent years, parked the No. 78 in Victory Lane for a night he will never forget. In the first round of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup, defending and two-time in a row champion Rick Martin opened another championship bid as the highest finishing playoff car in second. He was followed by non-playoff driver Jeff Belyea in third. Playoff drivers Tim Bolger Jr. and Jake Vanada followed in fourth and fifth. Mike Duarte (playoffs) was sixth, followed by Ethan Heilborn, Dane Saritelli, Tom Scully III and Amy Arsenault (playoffs) in the top-10. After the first race of the playoffs, Duarte, Martin, Bolger and Vanada are currently the Final Four cars. The Chaz’s Auto Body Sport Trucks will return to the track for round two of the Sunoco Drive For The Cup on Saturday, September 14, another 25-lap feature.
