SEEKONK, Mass. — After a long 75 laps in the American Racer Pro Stock special, Dave Darling was back on top in the Pro Stocks on Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway. The driver of the No. 52, seemingly a master of extra-distance events, methodically worked his way to the front, held on during a mid-race jingle, then drove away for victory in the special event. The eight-time Pro Stock champion may only be running part-time, but he’s found his way back to the front often again in 2024. Bobby Pelland III continued his success on the season, posting a strong second-place finish. They say consistency is king and Pelland has been a prime example of that this season. They were joined by Mark Jenison on the podium, as the two-time Pro Stock champion grabbed a third-place finish in the marathon event. Behind them, Kevin Casper worked his way up through the field from outside the top-10 and grabbed a fourth-place finish, while Chris Gomes earned a top-five finish in the division for the first time in his career, finishing fifth. Rick Martin, Theodore Urquart, Jeramee Lillie, Billy Joerres and Ken Lavallee finished the top-10. The Pro Stocks will be off next Saturday, July 27, as the Pro All Star Series comes to town.
