SEEKONK, Mass. — As the heat of the summer revs up at Seekonk Speedway, NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series drivers are heading straight for the Sunoco Drive For The Cup in September. With Mother Nature cancelling some events, the battle to make the playoffs is down to the final six NASCAR Saturday’s - and not all divisions compete on each night. The Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks, Helger’s Sportsman and Pro Stocks are down to 5 races remaining before the field is set. The Late Models are scheduled to compete in all six remaining NASCAR Saturday’s before September. Dates included for the Late Models: July 13, 20, 27 and August 10, 17 and 24 The Trucks/Sportsman are off on July 13 The Pro Stocks are off on July 27 New for 2024, Seekonk Speedway has trimmed the playoff field down to just the top six contenders in the championship standings at the end of the night on August 24. In the Chaz’s Sport Trucks, Mike Duarte is in the lead. Although he hasn’t won, consistency has him a comfortable margin inside the playoffs. He’s joined by four straight 2024 winners - Jake Vanada in second, Rick Martin in third, Tim Bolger Jr. in fourth and Darryl Church in fifth. Right now, Church rounds out the top-five and Amy Arsenault follows in the final playoff spot in sixth. Arsenault is 10 points up on DJ Thibeault (first car outside the bubble) and Mike Cavallaro, who are tied for seventh. Behind them, Marissa Morgan and Tom Scully III are still within striking distance as well, rounding out the top-10 in the current standings.
In the Helger’s Sportsman, Colby Lambert has been the most consistent of all this season and leads by a smooth 19 points over Adam Pettey. For the driver of the No. 57, Pettey has three straight wins in the competitive Sportsman division and is hitting his stride into the summer. In third is Josh Hedges, who won opening night and has been consistently inside the top-10. Behind him, Tyler Almeida and Scott Serydynski Jr are tied for fourth spot, with Doug Benoit behind them holding the final spot in sixth. Just outside the cutline, Randy Moretti is just four points back, while former Fast Friday Pure Stock champion Jeremy Lambert is just 12 back.
The Late Model battle is tight, separated by just two points at the cutline. Charlie Rose leads Luke Lebrun by 8 points for the overall lead, with Jacob Burns in third, Chase Belcher fourth and Mark Jenison in fifth. Richie Murray, the opening night winner, currently holds the final spot, two points ahead of Connor Souza. Andrew Gomes is also just 20 points back in his Rookie season, with Brittany Campbell, also in her Rookie season, just 23 points back. First through sixth are separated by just 29 points with six races to go, meaning anything could change at any time.
In the Pro Stocks, five races remain and Vinnie Arrenegado, a Rookie of the Year contender, leads. He’s becoming comfortable finishing second every week, but would like to win before long. He’s currently four points up on Bobby Pelland, and nine points up on Dylan Estrella. These three have been among the most consistent so far this season. Two-time and defending champion Mark Jenison is fourth, while Colbey Fournier fifth and Mike Brightman finishing out the current top-six. The Pro Stock field is a little bit more separated - with Jeramee Lillie 26 points back of the cut, tied with Kenny Spencer, and Kevin Casper two points behind them. Is the field of six already “set” in this division?
The Seekonk Speedway NASCAR Saturday battles continue on Saturday, July 13. The NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites will be in town for their annual Boston Louie Seymour Memorial Classic events, while the Pro Stocks and Late Models will continue their NASCAR season. The Sportsman and Trucks will be back on July 20. Tickets for all Seekonk Speedway events are available online now at SeekonkSpeedway.com.

SEEKONK, Mass. — Last year, Bobby Pelland III captured the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown title in the Pro Stocks. This year, he started off his quest to defend that crown on the right foot. Pelland took the lead from Mike Brightman in the middle of the race and then drove away from his contenders to take his first win of the season in the 60-lap event. Pelland started in the middle of the pack, but it didn’t take him long to charge to the front. In a race that was filled with cautions throughout, Pelland took the lead, but then had to hold off a few challengers on restarts. He wasn’t to be denied. Vinnie Arrenegado continued his Pro Stock Rookie of the Year quest with a third consecutive finish on the podium to open the season. He even pitted during the race this time and charged back through to finish second. He was followed by Dylan Estrella, who won the week before, finishing in third. Mark Jenison and Jeramee Lillie followed to finish the top-five after 60 laps. Mike Rotondo, Dick Benoit, Chris Gomes, Kenny Spencer and Rick Martin finished the top-10. The Pro Stocks will be back on track on Saturday, June 22, for another 40-lap feature. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media. The 49th Spring Green victory lane podium for the American-Canadian Tour at Seekonk Speedway (MA), (L-R) Gabe Brown (3rd), first-time winner Kasey Beattie and Erick Sands (2nd). Seekonk, MA — Thirty-four American-Canadian Tour teams entered the Cement Palace of Seekonk Speedway on Saturday afternoon with just one coming out on top. A spectacular day of racing set up one of the best late-race runs in recent memory with rookies and veterans alike digging-in side-by-side, often three-wide for position on Seekonk’s insanely competitive grooves. Under the fall of the checkered flags, the American-Canadian Tour has earned its third-straight first-time winner on the legendary circuit. Leading Rookie of the Year candidate Kasey Beattie hauled down from St. Johnsbury, Vermont and flew through heat two from dead last to a third-place finish, taking the pole position with a +6 handicap. Fellow young-guns Jacob Burns, Jeremy Sorel and Gabe Brown made up the first two rows to start the 49th Spring Green 124. The action started early with Brown diving under Beattie and Burns for a three-wide move across the line on lap 3. The three-wide thrills continued with Kaiden Fisher running alongside Erick Sands and Burns in a bare-knuckle fight for third. Following two quick one-car spin cautions, with many drivers jumping pitside for early adjustments, the battle up front intensified under restart conditions between Beattie, Brown and Fisher. Meanwhile, heavy drama was brewing as a back-sliding Burns was fighting to maintain a top-ten run with Jesse Switser. The pot over boiled as Burns went around off Switser’s bumper in turn two, finishing his day with the lap 51 caution and Switser was sent to the rear for his involvement. Hometrack runner Derek Gluchacki joined the top-5 fray on the restart with the wick burning hot between himself and fellow title chaser Gabe Brown. The two rivals bumped, banged and shoved alongside Beattie, Fisher and Tom Carey III in the fight at the front. Nevertheless, leading rookies Kasey Beattie and Kaiden Fisher put on a clinic at the front of the pack, circuit after circuit, while a fellow rookie chaser lost his best run so far. On lap 109, Jeremy Sorel was running hard on the outside lane among the top-ten before his rear-end expired and spread oil across the high groove, ending Sorel’s best ACT run to date and prompting a lengthy clean-up effort by the Seekonk track crew. The final fifteen laps proved to be some of the hardest-fought of the event. Beattie, Fisher, Erick Sands and Gabe Brown drove the doors of their machines, side-by-side, three-wide at times, fighting tooth and nail for inches at the finish line. On the final lap, Fisher made one final dive under Beattie for a chance at the lead in turn three that ultimately sent him sideways in a bloom of white smoke, sending the field scurrying back to the checkered flags. Rookie Kasey Beattie, the 2023 White Mountain Motorsports Park track champion who climbed the ACT Ladder System of weekly divisions over his young career, took down his first ever American-Canadian Tour victory at Seekonk Speedway with the historic 49th Spring Green. Derry, New Hampshire’s Erick Sands earned his career-best ACT Tour finish in second with Gabe Brown rounding out the podium. Strong runners Tom Carey III and Derek Gluchacki would round out the top five. Alexendre Tardif fireballed through the field from a last-place starting spot after a heat race wreck to finish sixth followed by defending Spring Green victor Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., Rochester, New Hampshire’s Cam Huntress, defending ACT champion D.J. Shaw and multi-time Seekonk champion David Darling to round out the top-ten. The American-Canadian Tour takes a week-off before returning to Epping, New Hampshire’s Star Speedway for the Coastal Clash 150! The superstar showdown includes fellow headlining Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models, the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) and the PASS Modifieds for an all-out experience at one of New England’s most popular ovals! SEEKONK, Mass. — The Pro Stocks wrapped a packed night of NASCAR Saturday racing at Seekonk Speedway on June 8, and it came right down to the wire to decide the winner. Dylan Estrella rocketed to the lead early in the No. 46, but when it came down to the final laps, he was doing everything he could to hang on.
Estrella had Pro Stock Rookie of the Year contender Vinnie Arrenegado chasing him down for the top spot. When they crossed for the white flag, Arrenegado was there. Even though he had a shot to make a move, it wasn’t enough. Estrella crossed the line on top after 40 laps with Arrenegado second. It was the first win of the season for Estrella and another impressive run for Arrenegado in his Rookie campaign to finish second. Bobby Pelland III followed in third, with defending champion Mark Jenison and opening night winner Colbey Fournier behind him in fourth and fifth. Mike Brightman, Kevin Casper, Jeramee Lillie, Kenny Spencer and Tommy Adams finished the top-10. The Pro Stocks will be back on the track on Saturday, June 15, for round one of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, set for 60 laps. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates. SEEKONK, Mass. — The first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series in the Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman came right down to the wire on Saturday night. Adam Pettey, Doug Benoit and Scott Serydynski Jr. battled it out hard for the win after a late restart set the stage for a dash to the finish. In the end, it was Pettey finding redemption, after two weeks of hard luck to open the season with a fast car. Pettey crossed the line and took the checkered flag, with Benoit, driving the car that Craig Pianka drove to the championship two years ago, finishing in second. Serydynski, who won the week prior, charged through the field and came away with a strong third-place finish. Colby Lambert and Randy Moretti followed in fourth and fifth. Jeremy Lambert, Joe Kohler Jr., Tyler Almeida, Josh Hedges and Nick Wood rounded out the top-10 in the 35-lap event. The Sportsman will be back on the track on Saturday, June 15, for 25 laps. For more information on Seekonk Speedway, visit SeekonkSpeedway.com and follow the track on social media for the latest news and updates. SEEKONK, Mass. — The first round of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series for the Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks was exactly what Rick Martin needed to shine on Saturday night. Martin chased his way through the field and ended up out front when it mattered most - capturing his second win of the season in the No. 14 Truck.
On a late restart, Martin drove away from his competition, adding yet another win to his resume in his 50th season of racing in front of a strong crowd on Saturday night. Former champion Mike Duarte raced through the field to come away with another podium finish, grabbing a third-place effort, with DJ Thibeault in third, his best career run. Tim Bolger Jr. followed up his victory the week prior by finishing fourth with Amy Arsenault behind him in fifth at the finish. Dane Saritelli, Ethan Heilborn, Tom Scully III, Danny Thibeault and Marissa Morgan finished the top-10. The Chaz Auto Body Sport Trucks will be back on the track on Saturday, June 15, for 25 laps. AMERICAN-CANADIAN TOUR INVADES SEEKONK SATURDAY AS PART OF BUSY WEEKEND OF FRIDAY & SATURDAY ACTION6/6/2024 Seekonk Speedway will be back on the track on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8, with another doubleheader of New England short-track racing on tap. Friday includes the third round of the Fast Friday season for 2024, with the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars, Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Pure Stocks, Sport 4’s and Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits and Outlaws all on track.
Saturday includes the return of the American-Canadian Tour for their first of two visits to Seekonk in 2024 - the Spring Green 124. A historic event on the schedule for ACT, this special event will pin Seekonk’s weekly Late Model stars up against touring series invaders. Also on the card for Saturday, the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series kicks-off for both the Helger’s Sportsman and Chaz’s Sport Trucks, and the Pro Stocks return to competition for just the second race of their season. The American-Canadian Tour field enters Seekonk with four championship points events in the books for their 2024 season. Former Seekonk frontrunner Derek Gluchacki leads the standings entering the race, with Gabe Brown, Alexander Tarfit, DJ Shaw and Kasey Beattie not far behind. Gluchacki and Tardif are two of four winners on the season - joined by Jesse Switser and Chris Pelkey. Seekonk drivers expected to compete include current NASCAR Division II points leader Richie Murray, Connor Souza, Vinnie Arrenegado Jr., Bobby Pelland III, Jacob “Rowdy” Burns and more. Can a Seekonk regular grab the checkered flag in the Spring Green 124 and defend the home turf? The Seekonk NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Division I Pro Stocks are back on track this week for round two of their season. Their first race on May 11 went to Colbey Fournier, but Vinnie Arrenegado, Mike Brightman, Pelland and Dick Benoit were all in the fight. It seems like forever since they have been on track - but they are back for 40 laps this week. Both the Sportsman and the Trucks are preparing for their first of three races each in the Everett’s Triple Crown Series. In two Sportsman events so far, Josh Hedges and Scott Serydynski Jr. have been to Victory Lane. It’s Colby Lambert, though, who leads the early point standings over former Fast Friday champion Doug Benoit. Hedges, Tyler Almeida and Jeremy Lambert aren’t far behind. Look out specifically for Adam Pettey to redeem himself after a wreck week one and near victory week two and come out strong this Saturday. In the Trucks, Jake Vanada, Mike Duarte and Amy Arsenault are the top three in their current points - but none of them have won yet. Tim Bolger (4th) and Rick Martin (5th) are the two winners so far in 2024. Both the Sport Trucks and Sportsman will go for 35 laps on Saturday night. Two weeks in, the Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars division on Fast Friday has seen two different winners. Week one went to Jacob “Rowdy” Burns, while the second showdown went to Richie Helger Jr. Some names to watch heading into week three include Rodney Dowless Jr., Mason Tessier, Kevin Davis and more, as they get set for another 25 laps. The Helger’s Pure Stock division saw Brent Robidoux use the outside lane to rocket to Victory Lane last week, his first career in just his second start. Mike Henriques led most of the race, but Robidoux slid by late. Names like Ethan Souza, Matt Talbot, Greg Perry and more will be looking to grab their first win of the year this Friday night in their 25-lap race. The Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits and Outlaws have seen two weeks of hotly contested action on the track. David Bernier hasn’t won yet, but leads the point standings in a tie with Mason Silva in the Bandits. Luka Dib won the first race and Silva won round two. In the Outlaws, Mike Hanafin and Brody Wakefield are the two winners so far. Names like Bryson Robidoux, Nick Uhrig Jr, Zachary Keith and others will be looking to challenge this week in the Outlaw 15-lap feature. In the Sport 4 class, Matt Pion and Crystal Murray have both won, and both been on the podium in both events. Taylor Bowser, Richie Johnson, Mikey LeFort, Tyler Duhancik and others will look to add their name to the winners list for 2024. Tickets for both nights of racing are available online at SeekonkSpeedway.com. Friday’s racing begins at 7 p.m. Grandstands open at 5:30 p.m. for fans to enter the track and catch the end of practice. On Saturday, racing begins at 6 p.m. Front gates on Saturday open for those with advance purchased tickets at 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. for all others. Spring Green Sets Up Battle for ACT Stars Against Seekonk’s Weekly Heroes at the Cement Palace6/5/2024 The American-Canadian Tour returns to Seekonk Speedway to battle for the 49th Spring Green this Saturday, June 8 with a host of Seekonk's finest looking to take the win away from the ACT Touring stars! Barre, VT — Following their most recent trip across the international border between Canada and the United States, the American-Canadian Tour is set to enter the gates of Seekonk Speedway for a doubly exciting event on Saturday, June 8. Not only will June 8 serve as the start of the popular Brookside Equipment Southern New England Triple Crown for 2024, it’s also the 49th running of the famed Spring Green that was first conceived by famed announcer Ken Squier back in 1974 Created as the early-season opener for the old Northern NASCAR, five-nights-a-week Late Model Sportsman circuit in 1974, and tormented by late winter snowstorms more than a few times in the last several decades, the Spring Green holds a special place as a cornerstone event for the ACT-sanctioning body. Since then, such acclaimed Northeast legends as the Dragon Brothers, Dave Dion, Robbie Crouch, Canadians Junior Hanley and Jean-Paul Cabana, sitting Vermont Governor Phil Scott, ‘The Outlaw’ Eddie MacDonald and, most recently, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. have taken the Spring Green victory. Four races in and Kulwicki Driver Development Program (KDDP) finalist Derek Gluchacki is in charge of the ACT point standings. Gluchacki is 29 points ahead of closest rival Gabe Brown and certainly has a leg up on the competition. While still looking for his first American-Canadian Tour win at Seekonk, Gluchacki cut his teeth at the Cement Palace piloting Legend cars, a popular Friday Night division at the Massachusetts speedplant, and looks to overcome his second-place finish in last year’s edition of the Spring Green. It's going to be hard to count out first-time ACT winner Alexendre ‘Fireball’ Tardif, coming off a dominant victory at his Autodrome Chaudiere hometrack on May 18. Recent campaigner Cam Huntress has had some great runs at Seekonk in the past and would love to capitalize, as would rookie title chasers Kasey Beattie, Jeremy Sorel, Kaiden Fisher and Cole Littlewood. Along with Tardif, fellow Canadians Jonathan Bouvrette, Remi Perreault and Claude Leclerc are set to make the trip, Leclerc looking for his second Spring Green victory to complement his first career American-Canadian Tour win in this very event all the way back in 1983! Seekonk Speedway is prepared to send some of their best to defend the home turf, led by defending track champion Vinnie Arrenegado. Joining the champion in an attempt to become the first Seekonk hometrack star to best the ACT Touring drivers at their own game is current point leader Richie Murray along with Jacob ‘Rowdy’ Burns, multi-time Pro Stock champion David Darling, Chase Belcher and Bobby Pelland III among the top candidates! The American-Canadian Tour is back in action on Saturday, June 8 at The Action Track of the East, Seekonk Speedway in Massachusetts. The American-Canadian Tour takes over the Concrete Palace for the first of two visits in 2024 with the 49th Spring Green 124, one of the sanctioning body’s marquee cornerstone events first taking place back in 1974. Post Time is set for 6:00pm, ticketing information is available online at www.seekonkspeedway.com. For more information about the American-Canadian Tour, contact the ACT offices at (802) 244-6963, [email protected], or visit www.acttour.com. SEEKONK, Mass. — The youth of Seekonk Speedway competition is alive and well - along with some established drivers moving into other divisions and pouncing on the opportunity. Through two NASCAR Saturday and two Fast Friday events in 2024, Seekonk Speedway has welcomed nine different first-time winners into the record books in their respective divisions. Liam Monaghan won in the ultra-competitive East Coast Towing Spectator Drag Series on May 11 beating top contender Matt Desrosiers. On NASCAR Saturday, June 1, Tim Bolger Jr. parked his Chaz Auto Body Sport Truck in Victory lane for the first time, as a former Fast Friday Sport 4 competitor. Last Friday night, May 31, in week two of the Fast Friday season, three more first-time feature winners added their names to the list in their respective divisions. In the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero Bandits, driving the No. 99 for Helger’s Racing, Mason Silva rocketed to his first career win. In the Outlaws, it was Brody Wakefield capturing his first Seekonk victory, driving away from his competitors. In the Helger’s Pure Stocks, Brent Robidoux used the outside lane to pass for the lead and rolled away to his first career victory in just his second Pure Stock start. Back on Fast Friday opening night, May 24, Luka Dib also piloted his No. 13 to his first career win in the Bandolero Bandits, and Mike Hanafin was in the winner’s circle for the first time in his Bandolero Outlaw career. Matt Pion captured his first Sport 4 win on opening night as well. During the opener of the NASCAR Saturday season on May 11, Josh Hedges - a former Sport Truck champion and Late Model winner - added a Helger’s Sportsman trophy to his resume. “I thought it would take a while (to get my first win),” Brent Robidoux, a former winner in the Seekonk Grand Prix Bandolero divisions, said after his first Pure Stock win. “At the beginning of the year, I didn’t even know if I was going to be driving this year. It was rough starting sixth and I knew we had some work to do, but it was some clean racing. I love it. I was just telling myself to bring it home.” A few young rising stars were rather speechless after winning. “This is really awesome - we came out from the first race in third - and we came back this week and came out on top - it’s amazing,” Wakefield said. “I’m just out of words,” Mason Silva said. With Fast Friday often producing the future stars of NASCAR Saturday at Seekonk Speedway, and some of Seekonk’s top Saturday drivers moving on to compete in higher ranks in short-track or even National Series racing, the 2024 season is once again showing Seekonk Speedway has such a stable group of rising stars that fans love to watch compete weekly. Seekonk Speedway’s Fast Friday divisions will return to the track on Friday, June 7, for another night of racing. NASCAR Saturday on June 8 includes the return of the American-Canadian Tour for the Spring Green 124, along with the Pro Stocks, Sportsman and Sport Trucks. Tickets and information on all Seekonk Speedway events are available online at SeekonkSpeedway.com. Sport Truck - Tim Bolger Pure Stocks - Brent Robidoux Spectator Drags - Liam Monagham Legends - Richie Helger Jr Sport Four - Matt Pion Outlaws - Brody Wakefield Outlaws - Mike Hanafin Bandits - Mason Silva Bandits - Luka Dib SEEKONK, Mass. — The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman may have run their feature after the Whelen Modified Tour, but it was one fans did not want to miss. And in the final stretch run to the finish, the fans saw a show worth the price of admission. In the end, after 25 laps, it was Scott Serydynski Jr. carrying the checkered flag. Serydynski made a late move to take the lead, then held off all challengers to score the feature win. Colby Lambert and Mike Mitchell both started deep in the field and both made their way up through, ending up on the podium in second and third. Doug Benoit and Tyler Almeida followed, finishing fourth and fifth. Josh Hedges charged through the field, after winning race one of the season, and finished sixth in race two. He was followed by Adam Pettey, who led many laps on Saturday, Rob Kohler, Jimmy “Pepe” Silvia and Jeremy Lambert. The Helger’s South Coast Power Equipment Sportsman will be back on track for round one of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown on Saturday, June 8.
