SEEKONK, Mass. — Jacob “Rowdy” Burns may have started eighth in the 30-lap Late Model feature on Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway, but he didn’t let it impact him. Burns chased his way through the field, passed Connor Souza for the lead, then held off Souza over the final laps to roll to another NASCAR feature win this season. The driver of the No. 30 completed a weekend sweep - also winning the Fast Friday Nick’s Pit Stop Legends Cars feature in dominating style. Souza finished second, his second consecutive week with the runner-up spot. Mark Jenison, a former champion, returned to the podium, finishing in third, one of his best runs of the year. Charlie Rose, who had won the last two events, finished fourth. Andrew Gomes rounded out the top-five, coming out on top of a great battle with Richie Murray. It was Murray in sixth, Ryan Kuhn in seventh, Nathan Tracy, Chase Belcher and Manny Dias rounding out the top-10. The Late Models will be back on track next Saturday, August 24, for 30 laps.
