SEEKONK, Mass. — For the second time this season, Jacob “Rowdy” Burns captured the Late Model feature win on Saturday night at Seekonk Speedway. Burns started fifth in the 30-lap main event, the finale of three straight days of racing at the Action Track of the East. He quickly charged to the front, was at the lead well before the halfway point, and never looked back. The victory for Burns continues to show he is going to be a threat when it comes time to crown a champion later in the year. Chase Belcher worked his way through the field to finish in second, holding off the challenges of Mark Jenison over the final laps. Jenison was third, followed by Charlie Rose and Richie Murray. Rey Lovelace, Dave Darling, Andrew Gomes, Luke Lebrun and Brittany Campbell rounded out the top-10. The Late Models will return to the track on Saturday, July 13, for round two of the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series, set for 45 laps.
