SEEKONK, Mass. — Adam Pettey may have struggled for a few weeks, but he’s found the speed once again. Pettey sliced his way through the field, capturing the Everett’s Auto Parts Triple Crown Series championship in the Helger’s Sportsman on Saturday night. Not only did Pettey win the Triple Crown, the driver of the No. 57 was also celebrating the race win, with the checkered flag high in the air after 35 laps. Colby Lambert raced his way through the pack in his bid for the Triple Crown and settled for a strong second. Steve Axon, the defending champion, also raced through the field, finishing in third. Corey Fanning and Gerry DeGasparre Jr. rounded out the top-five. Doug Benoit, Jimmy “Pepe” Silvia, Tyler Almeida, Ed Perry and Dane Saritelli finished the top-10. The Helger’s Sportsman will be back on the track on Saturday, August 17, for another 25-lap feature.
